WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DOES ENSIGN PERFORM?
Ensign Symphony & Chorus performs both sacred and secular music. There is not one specific style of music that we choose from. We have performed classical pieces by Mendelssohn, Mozart, Vivaldi and many other composers. Other music includes traditional American hymns and folk songs as well as traditional pieces from other nations. We often perform music by Mack Wilberg and other composers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as well as other contemporary artists. We have also performed many contemporary pieces including music from recent films, and other special arrangements of classical and pop music with our guest artists Jennifer Thomas and David Archuleta. Recently we even performed arrangements with guest artist J.ournal, who combines spoken word poetry with music. Each concert is a beautiful mixture of many styles of music all with the purpose of uplifting and inspiring our audience.
